In April 2021, Jiangxi Provincial Government signed an agreement with the National Health Commission to co-build National Medical Centers and Regional Medical Centers. As part of this initiative, the Jiangxi Branch Hospital of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University (National Nervous System Disease Regional Medical Center) was established. Located at 266 Fenghe North Avenue, Honggutan District, the project is constructed in two phases. Phase I covers 22.8 acres with 671 beds and a total floor area of 94,300㎡, offering multidisciplinary services including neurology, neurosurgery, and pediatrics.

To enhance operational efficiency, the hospital adopted Esseniot intelligent vertical conveyor system, enabling automated transport of medical supplies (medicines, surgical instruments, linens, etc.) between key departments like nursing stations, pharmacies, and operating rooms.
